Passover Jeopardy 2026!
Trust me, you want to add this Passover Jeopardy game to your Seder. It has been a highlight across the generations at my Seders for years.
Passover is my favorite holiday. When I was a kid singing was a core part of the Seder — with my Yiddish folksinging grandmother leading us in song. Grandma Ethel always took the end of the main part of the seder, right before the meal, as her cue to rise from her chair, wait until all eyes were on her, and start singing. She always sang a Yiddish song that had enough verses that she could have her solo, but also allow her boyfriend Yacov Gorelick to stand and sing a few verses with her, but then wave him back down to his seat when she wanted the spotlight to herself.
It was hard to imagine a Passover without her and her singing, but she died when my kids were little and it was time to think of new traditions. Enter Passover Jeopardy.
Passover Jeopardy
I got the idea for Passover Jeopardy from my friend Ruth, and took the game in a freeform direction beyond solely Passover trivia. This game has been a great addition to my family’s Passover Seder and is a hit across generations. You can find ten years of Passover Jeopardy game boards on my website — you can pick a year and play that game or mix and match your favorite categories. Some sample Passover Jeopardy questions below.
STORIES FROM THE HAGGADAH CATEGORY: You can set all the extra cups of wine as you want on the table; this man will not be joining your Seder.
PASSOVER FOODS CATEGORY: This can be eaten as a dessert or used to wipe off the table.
TEN PLAGUES CATEGORY: If the Egyptians just used a hot compress or turmeric powder, they could have gotten rid of this.
PASSOVER RHYMES CATEGORY: Flowers for the liberators.
FREEDOM CATEGORY: This person won’t let her “freedom rot in hell.”
MULTIPLES OF FOUR CATEGORY: One of these did not know how to ask - - but you do!
WOMEN OF THE HAGGADAH CATEGORY: This girl saved her brother first, and then saved the Israelites with her well of water in the desert.
