YES, 100%. Barb, married Mike Pratzel. As she mentions several times throughout her cookbook “Manna Cafe and Bakery Cookbook”. Mike is a 3rd generation Pratzel from St. Louis, grew up in the Pratzel bakery helping his dad. They moved to Madison, and started the Collins Inn and Manna Cafe.
Scott, thanks for the connective tissue to Manna Cafe. They had the best challah you could buy at a store/cafe in Madison - and I was very bummed when they closed. I didn’t know about the cookbook, I will look for it since I loved their food.

Sounds like an incredible place, the cookbook is fantastic! First off the recipes are phenomenal, 2ndly the commentary on community, their story, etc. is touching to say the least. I highly recommend :-) https://www.amazon.com/Manna-Cafe-Bakery-Cookbook-Businesses/dp/1955656703
